Voices of Spiral Journey Alumni

This program was transformative and deepening in so many ways. It has nourished my commitment to Work that Reconnects with the wisdom of those guiding this program, and all of the Teachers they brought into it through readings, videos and podcasts. It has broadened the myceliums I am part of with fellow facilitators and those contributing to the great turning from all over the world. I feel especially grateful for having been connected with the five other women in my study circle – what an absolutely joyful, empowering, and encouraging space that is, and I am sure this is only the beginning. I have grown as a facilitator and as a relational being, and I am forever grateful to Mutima, Molly, Constance, and Joanna for continued commitment and love to this work!

It is certainly a very tough time for the world: The war, Covid on top of the environmental and social issues. This course and our connection felt like oasis in the desert. Thank you!!!

(…) It is has been a deep and inspirational journey that has changed my life for the better. I loved the way Mutima, Constance and Molly shared the faciltation. It always seemed very natural and relaxed. The most exciting thing for me on Spiral Journey was to listen to all those different accents, people from all over the world, and to see how Joanna’s teaching have touched the heart of each one. I always felt I was in a place where I was fully valued and appreciated.

The Spiral Journey is a transformative program. For me, it is THE framework that makes the more sense in these challenging times for people who STAND UP and CHOOSE life over all. Diversity and inclusion are tied to the backbone. Vulnerability, authenticity and interconnectedness are interwoven in the flow of the program.

The program is a thoughtful and delightful course of study working to meet the needs of a growing worldwide network of facilitators. The content is powerful, the practices transformative, the community grounding, and the teachers supportive. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who’s passion or path in life has led them to deepen their devotion to the planet and to be of service in this way. The Work that Reconnects has changed my life, and now so has the Facilitators Development Program.

The facilitation wisdom (Mutima, Molly, Constance) propagated in this FDP was truly next-level. I’ve done LOTS of facilitation work and used to consider myself good at it, but creating and holding WTR spaces is on a different plane from what I’ve used to. Forgetting some of what I knew, adapting other aspects of it into this kind of space, and learning so about emotion and energy work in groups has been an incredible set of learnings for me. Witnessing and practicing the facilitation in both the big and small group contexts was extremely valuable. While I know I have much more to learn, I also feel that I integrated it deeply by doing it.

Jo delAmor is a mother, coach and Work That Reconnects facilitator who has dedicated over twenty years to the care of children and their families. She completed the global Spiral Journey WTR Facilitator Development Program in 2018 and worked as an administrator on the Spiral Journey team from June 2018-March 2022. She facilitates WTR in the context of understanding the roles that oppression and colonization have played in creating our current circumstances and with a strong commitment to actively undoing oppression.

Her WTR offerings focus largely on supporting parents and children in these challenging times. She is the author of Raising Children in the Midst of Global Crisis: A Compassionate Guidebook for New Paradigm Parenting and the facilitator of the Parenting in Tumultuous Times program. She lives on traditional Shawnee land in what is now known as Ohio in the eastern USA.

Parenting in Tumultuous Times is a practical, engaging and supportive online WTR program for parents looking to do right by their kids in these times of converging global crises. It is a deeply interactive and intimate opportunity to work through our heartbreak and into a deeper sense of creative resilience by moving through the WTR spiral with other parents from around the world.

Raising Children in the Midst of Global Crisis is a book for parents who feel anxious and overwhelmed by the responsibility of raising emotionally and physically healthy children in this time of social, economic and environmental collapse. It reframes parenting as an exciting and powerful opportunity to contribute to the radical paradigm shift being called forth by these converging crises. In this book, Jo delAmor has gathered a profound source of support for parents in their journey to becoming their children’s greatest advocates and allies as they meet the unprecedented challenges and opportunities of this unique moment in history, together.
