Work That Reconnects: The Expanded Spiral

a 12-hour online workshop with Rukmini Iyer – new dates TBD

This workshop offers a paced, practice-centred introduction to the Work That Reconnects (WTR) through the Expanded Spiral. Over four sessions we journey from Gratitude into Self-Awareness and Social Awareness, then Honour Our Pain for the World, See with New and Ancient Eyes, deepen into Liberation, and Go Forth with grounded prototypes for action. The container is trauma-aware and dialogic, with attention to power, place, and history. Practices include guided grounding, open-sentence prompts, reflective dialogue, and simple systems mapping.

Who this is for: people new to the WTR, or those lightly familiar but without a formal course.
What you can expect: clearer ecological identity, language for systems and interdependence, and a small, well-scaffolded commitment to carry into your context.

This workshop qualifies as a pre-requisite for those applying to the Spiral Journey Facilitator Development Program this year.

Format and participation: Online via Zoom. The workshop is highly participatory; please join with a stable internet connection and plan to keep your video on as much as possible. Facilitator:

Rukmini Iyer (India) is a leadership development and organisational transformation consultant, peacebuilder, and Work That Reconnects facilitator. Born into a South Indian Brahmin family, she recognises the caste privilege and safety her social location affords her, and approaches this work with humility and responsibility to challenge and dismantle caste oppression. As a person of the global majority working across Europe and the U.S., she also brings perspective on how colonial oppression continues to be experienced. More about her work can be found on LinkedIn.
